## **About Ann**

Ann is hard-of-hearing and has been a long-time Ava user.

## **How has Ava helped your life?**

I've used Ava through different levels of my hearing loss journey. During the pandemic, I ended up getting two very successful cochlear implants so my hearing has improved, but I will always be a hard-of-hearing individual because I never will know when I will understand others and when I won't, so I always have to be prepared. This is when Ava is most helpful now.

## **When do you use Ava?**

I use Ava when I need some help understanding all that a person is saying. Since I never know when I will understand someone or not, I always have Ava ready for quick access.

## **What's your part about Ava?**

Ava is still the most robust of all the [speech-to-text apps](/content/mobile/index.html) and it's still the only one that allows you to maintain social distancing because you can connect more than one person to the conversation.
